The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center located at 201 Waterfront Street, Oxon Hill, MD and 20745 is currently hiring a Food Runner (U) :

Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate guest. Assist in serving food as required.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1. Transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate guest table.
2. Review order before delivery to ensure accuracy.
3. Perform side duties as required.
4. Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, current promotions and daily specials.
5. Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and kitchen areas.
6. Adhere to all policies and procedures including HACCP, OSHA and sanitation guidelines.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Good communication skills required. Six months customer service experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications Food Handler's Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) card may be required.

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequent sitting with some walking and standing. Frequently lifts/carries up to 5lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
