| The Company was founded in January 1999, and subsequently merged, first, with Atlanta-based Pointe Communications in July 1999, and in June 2000 with Houston-based Telscape International. Following the NASDAQ downturn in 2001 the Company was reacquired by the management team and private equity firm TSG Capital Group and became the “New Telscape”. In 2006 management, in partnership with Gemini Partners and Golden Gate Capital led a buyout of TSG Capital. More recently, in January 2010, Gemini Partners completed a majority recapitalization of Telscape becoming the exclusive financial advisor to Telscape. |
